ABOUT US
HELPING HANDDS OF Great Mind is a nonprofit agency that was created out of necessity and an inspiration to help the community.
The agency’s primary focus is to help low-income families and individuals who are diagnosed with a mental health diagnosis, and who are facing structural life challenges.
We are treating the mental health component through our profit company, Great Mind Counseling and Wellness Center. We are addressing the economic, and structural challenges facing our low-income families/individuals through our nonprofit, Helping Handds of Great Mind. In doing so, our goal is to deliver low-income families with a wraparound service that is tangible and realistic.
Over the past few years, resources for affordable housing, including basic day to day living expenses have become scarce. Medicare/Medicaid ongoing cuts, due to the political unrest in Washington D.C., have exacerbated the problem around the US, Nevada included. This is why Helping Handds of Great Mind was created. Our goal is to alleviate various structural, economical and health challenges and concerns facing low-income families and individuals.

Helping Handds of Greatmind Counseling Helps empower low income individual family by providing resources that can help them meet their basic needs.
VISION
To building a community where those in need have a decent place to live, and do not go to bed hungry.
Some of the main challenges that our low-income clients needed help with so far are:
Ongoing help with basic case management needs.
Essentials of living, (i.e., shelter, food, clothing, hygiene, medical care and source of income)
Ongoing assistance with help getting ID, Birth certificate, and applying for SSI and/or Disability.
Assistance with initial deposit and first month’s rent payments.
